We do this by providing a forum for participants and investors to enjoy the rich cultural heritage of Taraba land, identify broad policy options and develop strategies for mobilizing capital and investment that will help unlock the vast resources and potentials of the land Our major activities include; Road shows/ Hot Air Balloons and Fireworks Cultural Carnival / Concert, Dancing, Wrestling Cultural Exhibition Music Concert and Entertainments Beauty Pageant /Carnival Queen Royalty Football Match, Between Taraba FC and Carnival FC HIV awareness Symposium about peace and unity in the state Carnival village Sons of Taraba awards, etc NB: These festivities fundamentally drive the attention of business investors to Taraba state. The Taraba carnival team will also identify outstanding sons of Taraba land, who have impacted on the development of Taraba State and Nigeria in general, to be honor with a recognition Award. Therefore through the instrumentality of music, dance, masquerades, cultural parades and pageantry, the carnival also helps to engender youth empowerment and economic revival. As an annual platform to showcase and expose Taraba state heritage, it will become a gathering place for traditional distinguished carnival revelers from all over the world similar to the fame of Rio de Janeiro and recently Abuja and Calabar carnival. Hints on Culture and Ethnics Groups in Taraba state Taraba state had over eighty (80) indigenous ethnic groups, each with its distinct historical and cultural Heritage , cohabiting peacefully with one another, some of these tribes includes, MUMUYE, ICHEN, JUKUN, KUTEB,WURKUM, LO, NDORO, MAMBILLA, CHAMBA, YANDANG, FULANI, JENJO, KUNINI, KAMBU, KAKA, BANDAWA, MUNGA, TIV, ZO, BAMBUKA AND JIBU est., HAUSA is commonly spoken by most indigenes of Taraba state irrespective of ethnic grouping, other ethnic groups like YORUBA, IGBO are also found in Taraba state.
